My CV

I learn very fast and I would really like to work with Unix/Linux, but I know a lot about comercial software platforms. I used to use Linux as my main operating system on my home computers for 5 consecutive years. I'm now running Windows XP on my workstation and running Linux on my servers. Of all the distributions around I've tested Slackware, RedHat, Mandrake Linux, Mandriva Linux, Kubuntu and SuSE.
I've very technical minded with regards to networks, servers, communications equipment and how they work together to create a solid foundation for a smooth operation in every department. I consider myself a reasonable "allrounder".
For my job with the Norwegian Military I had to be cleared for security and was cleared for level Secret. This clearance expired February 2007.
I've been with Aftenposten, doing a lot of different tasks, from contruction electronic delivery books to general office work. I've had a good time and feel it's time for me to move on.
After Aftenposten, I went to EDB Business Partner ASA and worked with them, under a contract as a consultant until October 2008. I then joined CGGVeritas, this time also on a contract. CGGVeritas uses Linux on all the workstations for their geophysicists and on the majority of their servers. I thrive in this environment. I grow. I enjoy every day and that joy can now be yours.
